Meet The Artist
About Gena Profit
Gena Profit is a mixed-media artisan and the founder of Gigi’s Kreative Artistry & More, based in Wichita, Kansas. With a background in Business Management and Organization, she seamlessly blends creativity with purpose to create meaningful experiences through art.
Although not formally trained, Gena’s artistic journey began in childhood, inspired by her mother through painting, sewing, and design. After the loss of her mother in 2013, she discovered epoxy resin as a form of healing. Through this creative process, she developed patience, faith, and trust—values that now shape both her work and her mission.
Her abstract art has been featured in various venues, including a 2024 collaborative exhibition at City Arts. Gena has also served as a board member of Art That Touches Your Heart and the Black Educators Hall of Fame. She is currently a member of the Wichita Fine Art Atelier, MakeICT Workshops, and Art Partners with the City of Wichita.
Diagnosed with glaucoma at the age of 12 and once told she might lose her vision, Gena continues to defy expectations. Today, she creates, teaches, and inspires others through art that heals, connects, and empowers.
