Meet The Artist

About Gena Profit

Gena Profit is a mixed-media artisan, creative educator, American Red Cross instructor, and founder of Gigi’s Kreative Artistry & More Studio in Wichita, Kansas. With a background in Business Management and Organization, she blends creativity, education, and purpose to create meaningful experiences that help others learn, connect, and build confidence.

Although not formally trained as an artist, Gena’s creative journey began in childhood, inspired by her mother through painting, sewing, and design. After the loss of her mother in 2013, she discovered epoxy resin as a form of healing. Through the creative process, she developed patience, faith, and trust—values that now shape both her work and her mission.

Her abstract art has been featured in various venues, including a 2024 collaborative exhibition at CityArts. Gena has also served as a board member of Art That Touches Your Heart and the Black Educators Hall of Fame. She is currently a member of the Wichita Fine Art Atelier and MakeICT Workshops.

Diagnosed with glaucoma at age 12 and once told she might lose her vision, Gena continues to defy expectations. Today, she creates, teaches, and inspires through art that heals, connects, and empowers. By adding CPR, First Aid, and AED instruction to the studio, she is expanding that mission—helping others gain the creativity, confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to make a difference.
